Michael Spano is a 2023 1B/RHP with a 5-5 130 lb. frame from Naperville, IL who attends Waubonsie Valley. Young, square shouldered build with a lean and projectable frame, room to grow moving forward. Ran a 9.72 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, takes short steps off the bag and fields the ball out front, works into a compact arm action on throws with an extra step through release, worked around the bag with throws, young actions and footwork will continue to develop. Also pitched, begins with a side step moving into delivery with a belt high leg lift; full arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Upper body dominant release with short stride and can incorporate additional lower half into drive, gets inconsistent with release point at times, fastball topped out at 58 mph and pitched exclusively off of it.
