Rocky Sizemore is a 2020 C/3B with a 5-10 230 lb. frame from Martinez, CA who attends College Park HS. Medium frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground with lower half showing a quick turn into release. Clean glove circle across chest and released from a compact arm slot. Throws produced solid carry to the bag a 72 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.02. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing smooth paced, deliberate footwork while surrounding the baseball. Showed developing fluidity while funneling and working through exchange. Released from a low three-quarters arm slot creating some on line carry across at 75 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, crouched stance and toe tap trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational actions. Loose, extended hand path to contact with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Displayed developing feel for the barrel but flashed good strength with bat speed when turning barrel to contact and working to the pull side gap. Also pitched showing a simple side step to high leg lift delivery. Creates slight coil over back leg at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Released from an extended low three-quarters arm slot producing occasional downward tilt with a fastball that sat in the mid 70's, topped at 76 miles per hour. Also flashed a knuckleball in the upper 60's that created occasional flutter through the zone.
