Marcos Pujols is a 2018 3B/1B with a 6-0 240 lb. frame from Melbourne, FL who attends Florida Air Academy. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength throughout, strong lower half and incorporates it into his game. Primary corner infielder, fields the ball out front, glove plays well at the ball, short and compact arm action, short steps moving towards the ball, gets on top of throws and shows carry and accuracy across the diamond. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a spread stance and a medium hand set in the box. High leg lift trigger, loads weight on back side before creating torque into swing, shows big intent and looks to do damage at point of contact. Loose swing, looks to pull the ball and can impact when squared with solid carry and jump. Can get to front side early at times and lose plane but creates nice bat speed through the zone. Verbal commitment to Florida International. Good student.
