Gabe Wright is a 2020 OF/MIF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Indianapolis, IN who attends Brebeuf Jesuit Prep. Very athletic build with good present strength. Fast twitch athlete, 6.52 in the sixty, has immediate acceleration in all actions. Right handed hitter, hits from a slighly open upright stance, quick hands driven swing, rotational upper body mechanics, has a gap to gap approach with some pop off the barrel, stays short to the ball and will likely be a high contact hitter who can use his speed. Attacks the ball well in the outfield and works through it well, long and loose arm action, centerfield tools defensively. Would be interesting to see at second base as well. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect Team.
