Isaac Bender is a 2020 SS/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Coralville, IA who attends Liberty. Showed good speed and athleticism, running a 6.78 second sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a tall and slender frame that has plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Works through the ball well with athletic actions, showing a clean glove and clean transfers to throw. Has some present arm strength, making accurate throws across the diamond at 82 miles per hour. Has a spread and even stance at the plate, with a toe tap trigger and rotational lower half. Stays balanced throughout, with a line drive barrel plane and god barrel feel and control. Has a middle of the field to pull side approach, showing good jump off the barrel when squared. Swings translate to game action, showing good bat-to-ball skills. Excellent student.
