Max Simons is a 2020 3B/RHP/2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Mims, FL who attends Astronaut HS. Smaller athletic build with good upper body strength. 7.00 runner, simple fundamental actions defensively, has some first step quickness and good footwork, good release and accurate throws, second base arm strength. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a double tap load, short downward swing path, mid field to pull side line drive approach, keeps it simple and repeatable. Also pitched, same type of basic fundamental mechanics, stays in line and balance well with a high 3/4's arm slot, can use hips better in delivery. Fastball topped out at 77 mph with good sinking action, throws it for strikes to both sides of the plate. Throws lots of strikes with both his fastball and 11/5 curveball. Very good student.
