Gavin McGowan is a 2020 RHP/2B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Sugarloaf, PA who attends Hazleton Area. Large frame with long limbs and good projection. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.75 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, quick tempo to delivery, deceptive delivery, quick stab back through arm stroke, good mound presence, quick arm action, fastball worked 69-76 mph with some life. Showed curveball with late break and good depth. Threw a lot of strikes. Big leg lift trigger when hitting, foot down early, rotational lower half mechanics, good extension through contact, flashed hard liners to all fields. Worked out in the infield, surrounds ball well and stays balanced, fields cleanly, threw 75 mph across the diamonf.
