Josh Weber is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends Cardinal Mooney. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, shows an understanding of how to pitch on the mound. On line delivery and able to create deception, short and compact arm stroke leading to high three-quarters slot. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, gets on hitters quickly and showed late running life down in the zone. Nice arm speed and maintains it well on changeup, shows sinking life with fade at 75 mph. Projects with additional lower half incorporated. 11-5 shaped curveball with depth, solid third offering. Mixes and works ahead. Changes looks and controls running game well. Short steps to the ball in the outfield, fields out front, full arm action and comes out clean, some effort at release, accurate. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high back elbow and draws hands back at start of swing. Utilizes a middle of field approach, contact approach with linear swing path. Upper body dominant swing, quick hands, creates consistent contact. Named to Sunshine East Top Prospect List.
