Johnny King is a 2024 LHP/1B with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends Naples. Tall and long frame with loads of projection remaining as he matures. Ran a 6.68 in the sixty yard dash. A primary pitcher, uses a low slot with a quick shoulder and whippy arm action to produce low-90s heat. The fastball has a ton of horizontal movement and can miss bats or produce soft contact regularly. He has a hard biting two-planed breaking ball that pairs with the fastball well and miss under bats for whiffs. Highest level upside given the athlete and stuff. A 2-way prospect, he showed fluidity and the ability to take angles during drills and has plenty of arm strength, 93 mph, to play any outfield spot. A left-handed hitter, has a smooth and loose swing that stays in the zone a long time and will produce loft power in the future. He is a very good athlete and young for the class, helping to easily project future upside. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
