Joseph Lawson is a 2026 C/RHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Bishop Verot. Medium frame with some strength to the build. Ran a 7.86 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, clean low receiver in stance, repeats solid actions well, good quickness to his release and gets it out slightly uphill but efficient through that slot and accurate on the bag with solid pops. Also pitches, quick and compact arm stroke through a high release, gets downhill a bit with the fastball up to 80 mph, good spin to project on with the breaking ball at over 2200 RPMs. Right-handed hitter, narrow setup and low hand set, very simple approach with a clean compact stroke, able to backspin the baseball already and has a heavy barrel with strength to the hands, enough bat speed already to work it out well and produced strong contact to the middle and pull side.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
