Gabe Rogers is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-3 162 lb. frame from Monument, CO who attends Palmer Ridge. Large frame with long limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Ran a 7.28 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, deliberated footwork while closing to the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling with developing fluidity while working through transfer. Loose arm circle at separation and released from a high three-quarters slot topping at 77 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Varies hand path to contact but created an uphill barrel plane through extension. Tends to let the baseball travel to a deeper position in the zone and looks to work to the middle of the field and opposite field gap. Flashed best strength with some jump off the barrel to the opposite field gap. Also pitched utilizing a smooth paced, side step delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball flashed some downhill tilt through the zone in the mid 70's, topped at 76 miles per hour. Curveball had 10/5 shape with loose spin and occasional depth in the upper 50's. Consistently looked to fill the bottom of the strike zone and challenge hitters. Good student.
