Kaelen Culpepper is a 2021 SS/2B/3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Memphis, TN who attends St. Benedict At Auburndale. Medium frame with a lean, athletic body. Projectable build with fast twitch type playing showing in all aspects. Ran a 7.19 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, quick first step as he proved to have some range. Clean gathers with smooth hands as he carried momentum well into throws. Arm strength starting to show as he threw it 82 MPH across the diamond. Projects well in the middle infield as he has the feel & tools necessary to succeed. Switch Hitter, from the right side, starting from a balanced stance with high hands. Shifts all weight into swing at once. Showing some bat speed as he found the barrel often. Linear swing path as he sprayed the baseball around the park. From the left side, flashed an inside out type swing with a longer swing path than from the right side. Middle of the field to opposite approach. Much more raw mechanically from this side but shows tools that can be worked with. Good Student. Named to National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
