Orlando Hernandez is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Florida Christian. Big and thick build, plenty of present strength. High energy delivery with good hip turn and drive to the plate, varies his delivery pace and works to mess with hitter's timing. Showed a solid three-pitch mix and threw strikes with some deception. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph. Good power on his curveball, showed the ability to change speeds and shape with it and missed lots of bats with the pitch. Got his change up to both sides of the plate successfully. Limited projection but has the skills and stuff to be successful at the next level immediately. Right handed hitter, large leg lift trigger from an open stance, lift and pull approach, has some strength in the barrel. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami.
