Ryan Strittmather is a 2018 SS/2B, SS, 3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Vermilion, OH who attends Elyria Catholic High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 6.96 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields ball square, quick transfer, balance on slow roller, and raw arm strength up to 82 mph. At the plate, started with a narrow base, hand set away from body, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Line drive swing plane, short, compact swing to the ball, and a pull oriented approach. Balanced swing with limited lower half, and developing bat speed. Would see more consistent contact with additional lower half and strength in swing. Good student.
