Will Braaton is a 2019 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Highlands Ranch, CO who attends Thunder Ridge. Large frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a smooth paced side step delivery. Short arm circle back at separation and created some cross fire action at release. Baseball came out of hand clean with some downward plane through the zone in the low to mid 70's, topped at 75 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with loose spin and occasional depth in the low 60's. Looked to fill the strike zone and challenge hitters through each inning of work. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing smooth, deliberate footwork while closing to the ball. Clean glove actions while picking up and works through transfer. Long arm circle and released from a three-quarters slot topping at 81 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and high back elbow set. Direct, inside path to contact with a line drive swing plane through extension. Consistently barreled up the baseball throughout batting practice generating line drive to the opposite field gap. Outstanding student.
