Jose Gil is a 2020 RHP/2B, SS with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Estero, FL who attends Cypress Lake. The primary pitcher has a slender frame with lots of room to fill out. The righty has a short arm stroke on the back side with a 3/4 release that helped flash some arm side run to the fastball. Some deception with a slight crossfire landing that proved to be tough on hitters. 11/5 shape on the curveball and really good feel to land the pitch for strikes. Some projection left in the frame and obvious feel to pound the strike zone. Lots of forced contact. Good student.
