Hunter Weitzel is a 2022 2B/C/RHP with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Harleysville, PA who attends Souderton Area. Medium frame with square shoulders and good projection. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.91 seconds. Hits with big leg lift trigger, minimal hand load, shows solid bat speed with smoothness to barrel and hands, gets body moving forward with good shift, showed good timing skills and overall projectable hitting tools. Primary infielder, longer strides to the ball, tendency to field flat-footed at times, hands work well, clocked up to 66 mph across the diamond. Also caught, compact set with some flex, compact arm stroke to release from ear, front hip flies open through stride and can pull throws off bag. Also pitched, tendency to pitch uphill, plunges arm through takeaway, compact stroke, fastball worked 65-70 mph with good arm side life, pitch exclusively with fastball and found success up in zone.
