Mark Reimel is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Woodbury, MN who attends Cretin Derham Hall. Medium frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 6.94 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with aggressive footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and worked through exchange with developing fluidity. Works over front side while released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced some carry to the bag with accuracy, topped at 83 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and lower hand set. Shifts into contact well with linear lower half actions. Simple, direct path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Primarily looked to created lift between the gaps but flashed the hand speed to turn barrel and work to pull side with authority when squared. Also pitched utilizing a simple rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays flexed at gather and stacks back side. Slight coil over back leg and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Deep arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball flashed some downhill plane through the zone sitting in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 81 miles per hour. Showed good feel for a curveball offering that had 11/5 shape with sold spin and late depth. Duplicated arm slot with breaking ball creating some deception to hitter at release. Good student as well.
