Matt McNaney is a 2020 C/RHP, OF, UT with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends Albuquerque Academy. Medium frame with a slender build and room to add. Ran a 7.40 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Starts in a high stance. Receives with soft hands. Transfer out in front of chest with a medium arm circle. Accurate with softer carry to the bag topping out at 71 miles per hour and popping a 2.09. Righthanded hitter with a wide base and high hand set. Short stride into contact with a slightly lifted bat path. Line drive and gap-to-gap approach. Shows some developing feel for the barrel. Righthanded pitcher throwing from a three-quarters arm action. Strides out front with good extension. Commands the fastball at 75 miles per hour. Sweeping breaking ball with a slurvey shape. Inconsistent on the release. Very good student as well.
