Jackson Foster is a 2018 C/2B/3B with a 5-10 187 lb. frame from Flagstaff, AZ who attends Coconino High School. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present strength throughout frame. Primary catcher, begins with a low and compact set behind the plate, receives the ball out front, gains short ground with lower half coming out of crouch, full arm circle on release, incorporating additional lower half will help quick pop time. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slight crouch and wide base, high back elbow in the box. Upper body dominant swing with full path coming through the zone. Uses a toe tap trigger for timing, contact approach in the box and able to use all parts of the field, line drive contact off the barrel when squared. Good student.
