Chris Davila is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B, MIF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Sandalwood. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well to the ball and shows a sound first step with instincts, smooth extension and repeats actions, accurate arm across the infield. Also pitched, fluid mechanics on the mound with a short arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Filled the strike zone with fastball, topped out at 77 mph and showed short running life, pitched to contact and mixed both a curveball and changeup. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a balanced leg lift trigger and gets closed moving into contact. Long swing path through the zone with looseness to hands, occasionally gets to front side early, shows nice carry off the barrel when squared and creates extension out front, best contact to pull side.
