Charlie Adamson is a 2019 SS/RHP with a 6-3 155 lb. frame from Beverly Hills, CA who attends Oaks Christian. Large frame with lean, athletic build. Frame shows room for plenty of additional size and strength. Ran a 7.35 sixty yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth, athletic footwork while ranging to and surrounding the baseball. Smooth glove actions while funneling the baseball out front with fluid exchanges while working through transition. Showed good actions and fluidity while on the move with the ability throw with accuracy on the run. Double taps baseball to glove prior to releasing from a low three-quarters arm slot, created good carry across the infield topping at 78 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, even stance. Produces solid shift into contact with linear lower half actions. Swings with intent to drive the baseball into the outfield with a line drive swing plane. Primarily worked to the middle of the field flashing present bat speed with the promise for more with continued physical maturity. Also showed the barrel control to work the baseball to opposite field as well. Also pitched with a simple side step to high leg kick delivery. Creates coil over back side at gather and shows a deep arm through the back at separation. Uses lower half while driving to the plate and lands at a slightly closed front side position. Released from a three-quarters arm slot with good arm speed through extension with fastball offering that flashed good life through the zone between 78-82 miles per hour. Slider showed slurvy shape with occasional tight rotation and tilt in the low 70's. Worked quickly and consistently filled the strike zone with both pitches. Solid athletic that will continue to develop with continue physical maturity and repetition. Good student. Named to the 2016 Cal Underclass Top Prospect List.
