Ruben Roman is a 2018 OF/ with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Congers, NY who attends Albertus Magnus. Medium frame with a lean build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.26 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, fundamentally sound footwork while closing to the baseball. Clean glove actions with developing fluidity while working through exchange. Creates uphill shoulder tilt at take back at released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Throws generated higher carry to the bag topping at 74 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with spread, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Creates occasional shift into contact with rotational lower half actions. Simple, compact hand path to contact with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Tends to work to a taller front side hitter position at contact and utilized a mid field approach. Flashed good bat speed with some strength at contact that created occasional carry to each outfield gap. Good student as well.
