Landon Moran is a 2022 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Altamonte Springs, FL who attends Lake Brantley. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front, moves well off the bag, shorter mar action on throws with solid carry and arm strength across, shows accuracy on throws. Moves well in the outfield with long and smooth strides, loose and easy arm action, ball comes out of hand cleanly, short stride through release, shows accuracy on throws. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a gliding leg lift for timing moving into contact. Looseness to hands, longer swing path through the zone and creates leverage at point of contact. Generates whip to the barrel, shows best comfort working to pull side, occasionally around the ball, projects well with added physical strength. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Florida.
