Kai So is a 2025 C/LHP, 3B, UT with a 5-10 188 lb. frame from Gainesville, FL who attends F. W. Buchholz. Recorded a 7.34 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a physical frame and present strength. Begins from a slightly staggered stance behind the plate and was consistently accurate with throws to second, using a longer arm swing. Recorded a pop time of 2.00 in workouts. Left-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with open feet, a high back elbow, and hand set. Hovering leg lift trigger and long stride with a minimal hand load. Leverages the ball really well with strength out front. Showed juice and hit in game as well. Secondary left-handed pitcher and uses a ddrop and drive delivery. Leg lift to waist level, released from an over-the-top slot, landed on line and topped at 77 mph. Excellent student. Named to the 2023 Sunshine East Top Prospect List.
