Austin Middleton is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Gainesville, FL who attends F. W. Buchholz. A medium build with room to keep filling out a bit. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. A primary left-handed hitter who worked exclusively from the stretch. Has a leg lift up to his core, working down the mound efficiently. Lands on line working through the delivery with a full arm action, quality arm speed, and over-the-top slot. Created a fastball with heavy looks and sink to it. Showed a slider with tight & firm actions that were a bit cutter-like at times. He would backdoor the slider as well. His third offering was a changeup that he killed spin on with big tumble to it. A left-handed hitter with good movement in the lower half. Uses a bigger leg-lift trigger to get on time and find some barrels throughout his round of BP. The lower half is active and helped him piece together a good round. He worked out in the outfield with deliberate actions and cleaner funnels to gather and make the throws. Has a longer arm action with some arm speed. Throws were at 81 mph and carried well. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
