Hunter Carns is a 2024 C/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends First Coast. Large frame with athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.47 seconds. Hits from wide-based stance with high hands and back elbow, deep stretch with hands into bar, legitimate plus bat speed with ability to create leverage and generate backspin, monster game performance with two home runs, legit power/speed threat with defensive versatility. Primary catcher, athleticism stands out, moves well and shows quick transfer and release with solid-average arm strength. Also took outfield reps, showed the athleticism and ease of movements, clocked up to 92 mph on throws. Named to 2023 Perfect Game All-American Classic, excellent student with verbal commitment to Florida State.
