Benjamin Thompson is a 2023 3B/ with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Gainesville, FL who attends Santa Fe. Recorded a 7.46 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with plenty of projection and room to fill out. Primary third baseman with deliberate, anticipatory actions into the fielding process, while showing some lateral range to both sides and an accurate throwing arm from multiple arm angles. Recorded arm strength up to 77 mph across the diamond in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works from a deceptive 3/4-to-low 3/4's arm slot, creating tons of cross-fire action through release and heavy sink to the arm-side. Fairly repeatable delivery with good usage of his lower half and extension out in front. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 76 mph in this look. Proficient strike thrower that pounds the inner-half of the zone to generate weak plenty of weak contact. Displays tough angle and look for opposing hitters, will continue to improve with additional velocity and secondary offering. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance and a high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Incorporates bat waggle and deeper hand load for timing, creating some lift to his swing and good extension out in front. Middle-to-pull side intent with occasional impact and carry when on-time and in-sync. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and physically maturity. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
