2023 WWBA Workout Showcase (Wed)
Malakhi Boone is a 2025 OF/1B with a 6-2 230 lb. frame from Webster, FL who attends South Sumter. Extremely physical and well built frame with dense strength yet outstanding athleticism and twitch to his actions. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 6.75 seconds. Primary position OF, working deliberately to the ball and staying under control through the ball. One hand gather to the side to midline transfer. Squares well to throw and uses full arm path to an over the top release. Accurate throws up to 84 mph back to the infield. RHH with a significant early load, starting from an even base with a good handset and high back elbow. Gets hands quickly on plane and inside the ball to compliment his middle of the field approach. Low line drives gap to gap with significant strength. Very mature, hitterish actions and as he develops ability to create loft and work the pull side his power projection should be elite. All the makings of a middle of the order power, run producer. Outstanding student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
