Dominic Masto is a 2024 3B/RHP/2B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL who attends Ponte Vedra. A larger frame and bigger build. Long levers present in the build. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. A primary third baseman with a compact arm action, throwing from a higher slot. Throws across were at 78 mph and carried. The throws came out good on the run as well. A left-handed hitter with a wide base in the box with high set hands and a high back elbow. Has a simple swing overall. Creates leverage, separating well to use his long levers to see the ball jump. Produced good contact pull-side with several barrels. A right-handed pitcher who side-steps and pauses at the top of his delivery. Uses a shorter stride creating some angle working downhill. He hides the hip well and drives down the mound. His fastball was up to 82 mph, working 78-82 mph during the outing. The pitch had a downhill plane and could be a problem for hitters at times. His breaking ball was in the low-60s and a change of pace to keep hitters off-balance. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
