2018 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Cole Teply is a 2021 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Rockledge, FL who attends Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy. Large and strong frame with some strength present throughout. Ran a 7.44 second 60 yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the baseball out in front gathering it with two hands, showed developing footwork on his turns to second, mostly deliberate and low effort actions, developing arm strength from a low release point. Secondary righthanded pitcher, sets up on the first base side of the rubber, starts delivery with a side step up to a low leg lift, takes arm back to a short arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, lands online to the plate with a low effort delivery, fastball topped out at 81 mph with riding sink to the plate, mixed in a short-breaking 12-to-6 curveball. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a slightly open stance and a high hand placement, shifts some into contact meeting the baseball out in front, works to all fields with a compact stroke. Good student.
