Stefan Desalvia is a 2023 OF/RHP/2B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Windermere, FL who attends Foundation Academy. Strong athletic build, especially in the lower half. 7.19 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder, is aggressive moving to the ball in the outfield, fields well off his front foot, compact arm action with a quick release on his throws, arm strength still developing. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a simple rock back load, doesn't get back to his front side consistently, inside swing path with an opposite field orientation, strong enough to turn the barrel and impact the ball with adjustments. Also pitched, has a big leg lift delivery with good pace, turns his hips and front side well, medium length arm action with a 3/4's arm slot. Mid-70's fastball, gets some good cutting action to the glove side that gets under barrels. Curveball was a solid second pitch with some sharpness and slurve like shape, landed his curveball well. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
