John Lloyd is a 2021 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Hermosa Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa. Tall slender frame, with projectable build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Primary third base, showed a quick clean transfer and release, made soft accurate throws, second base tools and skills, also took reps from first base showed some athleticism here, turned two well. From the mound, has a well balanced delivery, throws from different arm slots, has a live whippy arm. Topped his fastball out at 84 mph, with good life and slight arm side run. Right-handed hitter, hands start high, has an even base stance with a toe tap stride. Displayed a consistent flat smooth swing, plenty of projectible power as he builds strength. Good student.
