Sebastian Sanchez is a 2021 OF/LHP with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake. Slender young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.34 runner, has sound actions in the outfield and stays behind the ball well, quick transfers, has some carry on his throws, showed his athleticism well on defense. Right handed hitter, hits from an open upright stance with a good shift to his front side, fluid swing with good timing, swings hard and creates some bat speed for his size with some gap power. Also pitched, simple side step delivery, lands closed out front, extended 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 75 mph with good late running action. Slider showed some sharpness and lateral bite, threw strikes with both pitches and was effective. Will keep improving in proportion to how much stronger he can get. Good student.
