Aaron Garcia is a 2021 C/1B/3B with a 6-0 225 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Olympian. Large physical build. Primary catcher, stabs at the ball a bit with his glove work. In game reps were far better than his showcase reps. Showed excellent blocking mechanics and athleticism behind the plate in game. Executed a few run saving difficult blocks to perfection. Posted a 2.15 second pop time down to second base. At the plate, uses a narrow, slightly open stance with a heavy lunging weight shift. Good bat speed through the zone, finds plus power off his bat to all fields. Decent balance throughout despite the heavy weight shift. Middle to pull side approach with simple yet violent hands. Named to the SoCal Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
