Roman Martin is a 2023 SS/2B/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Whittier, CA who attends Servite. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength throughout frame, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves very well on feet and rounds the ball well, plus arm strength across the diamond with ample carry from a lower slot, sound actions and repeats them well, tools to stay on left side. Right-handed hitter, begins with a lower hand set and gets lower through load, wide base and gains more through weight shift. Strength plays and looks to lift and elevate at the point of contact, real juice to pull side and shows ability to repeat swing with consistent feel for the barrel and big bat speed. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to UCLA. Named to the 2022 Perfect Game All-American Classic.

Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
