Memphys Starks is a 2020 3B/RHP with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Ozark, MO who attends Parkview. A strong bodied 2-way player that is a pretty polished player. The primary infielder has a balanced approach to the ball and quiet feet. He does a good job with glove placement and his hands are soft. The arm is good and carries well, can make all required throws from the left side of the diamond. Switch hitter. Left-handed, has strong hands with good impact to the middle of the field. He turns well and the ball jumps off the barrel. Right-handed, has real intent and matches the power from this side as well. Looks to do damage and has power to all fields, long home run over the centerfield wall. A right-handed pitcher, the delivery is compact and stays balanced and direct when he drives down the mound. Hides the ball well and then gets good extension to the plate using an over the top release point. The fastball has arm side run and life. Velocity upside based on a clean arm action and release, as well as a body the will firm up nicely. Showed 2 breaking balls. The curveball has 12/6 shape with hard biting action late toward the plate. The slider had more horizontal shape and broke hard away from right-handed hitters. There are three good pitches in the arsenal that he sequenced well. Really good blend of skills overall.
