Collin McEvers is a 2019 C with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Piedmont Hills HS. Stocky strong catcher's build. Right handed hitter, hits from a very wide base and open stance, long downward swing plane, does develop some raw bat speed when the barrel gets into the zone on time, mid field line drive contact, can shorten up, has the strength to improve as a hitter. Wide base catching as well, rotational thrower with a lower arm slot, quick compact release, makes accurate throws, 2.06 best pop time. Very good student.
