Aaron Abner is a 2021 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Winchester, KY who attends George Rogers Clark. Medium frame with a solid build and beginnings of strength. Primary left handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Started at a closed position and work to a medium leg lift. Lands in line on front side and carries momentum to target. Released from a mid three-quarters arm slot generating solid run to arm side in the mid 70's to low 80's, topped at 83 miles per hour. Slider had 2/8 shape with looser spin and sweeping depth. Also flashed a straight changeup in the upper 60's. Primarily looked to locate to the bottom quadrants of the zone with developing feel for the edges. Also worked out from the outfield showing deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels out front with two hand and worked through exchange with loose actions. Generated uphill carry to the bag from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Stays on back side throughout and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Clean hand path to baseball with a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Barrel enters and exits the zone quickly. Employed a mid field approach and looked to generate lift between the gaps.
