Tristan Werner is a 2020 2B/SS with a 5-4 130 lb. frame from Mount Sinai, NY who attends Mount Sinai. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean and projectable build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.93 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and shows softness to hands, works through the backhand well with balance to actions, short and quick strides moving towards the ball, compact arm action and shows ability to drop slot at release with carry on throws and accuracy. Righthanded hitter, begins with a bent knee stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Does a nice job of staying short and direct to the ball with swing path, shows quickness to hands and employs a contact oriented approach. Able to work to all fields and can cover the plate, occasional carry when squared, best contact when extended out front. Very good student.
