Brant Melancon is a 2024 OF/LHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends Parkview Baptist. Medium, athletic frame with room to add strength. 7.11 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder, fundamentally sound approach to gather with good arm strength. Ball comes out well out of over-the-top slot with carry and accuracy to the bag. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and weight on the back side. Short, compact swing, line drive approach with flat barrel path through the zone. Shot the ball all over the yard. Will continue to grow into power. Good student. Named to WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect list.
