Kasey Baumgart is a 2019 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Baltimore, MD who attends Calvert Hall College HS. Medium build with some present strength. Full slow paced delivery, compact arm action in back, hides the ball well in his delivery, over the top arm slot, bit cross body on release. Low 70's fastball, topped out at 73 mph, primary fastball pitcher who works low in the zone and to the corners and tries to induce ground ball contact. Threw a big slow curveball in the low 60's and a fading change up in the mid-60's, can throw these more often to give hitters a different look. Has topped out at 76 mph at previous PG events. Showed good athleticism and direction in the outfield on defense and made accurate throws. Left handed hitter, has a long line drive swing path, hits the ball out front with mid field to pull side contact. Good student.
