Michael Podstreleny is a 2024 C/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. He ran a 8.25 second sixty. A primary catcher with a medium build. Behind the plate he receives the baseball well with soft hands out front as he gains ground into the throw with a. decent transfer and shorter arm action, the throws showed young arm strength with average carry recording a 2.19 second pop time. On the mound he worked from the stretch with a fastball at 74-76 mph from a three-quarters arm slot,he does a nice job getting into the back side before he comes down the mound, the curveball showed slurvy actions through the zone while the changeup was more straight some arm speed, he mixed all three offerings in the zone a good bit. switch hitter, starts even from the right side working the hands inside the baseball with a compact bat path using the opposite field mostly. From the left side he starts with a similar set up and swing with more intent and a smoother path using the middle of the field and the pull side with better feel for the barrel than the right side.
