Jayzic Matos is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 5-7 148 lb. frame from Henderson, NV who attends Liberty. Features a medium, lean build. Ran a 7.74 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Flashed some athleticism on the dirt, allowing for solid range in both directions. Will wait back on balls at times. Showcased a quick transfer into a longer rm action throw. Reached 74 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a narrow base stance with a low hand setup. Shifts weight using a small leg kick timing mechanism. Swings on a linear path with an approach geared toward the pullside. Approach is geared toward the pullside, showing the ability to get the bat head out front. Flashed solid power that plays in that direction when squared up. Right-handed pitcher. Gets down the mound with intent, using drop and drive mechanics. Throws from a 3/4 slot with a shorter arm action. Fastball sat 67-69 mph, topping out at 72 mph. Paired it with a changeup at 54-56 mph with some tumble. Can throw both offerings around the zone consistently. Very good student.
