Nico Libed is a 2023 C/UT with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake. Smaller young build with lots of room to get stronger. Sets up low behind the plate, has nice quickness in his hips and is very mobile in his shifting and blocking, still developing his blocking technique but has the athleticism to excel in this, good athlete coming out of his crouch, stays compact and directional on his throws. Right handed hitter, starts from a high hand start with a strong move to his front side, hanging leg lift load is occasionally late, swings hard and is looking to impact the ball, will continue to improve as a hitter as he develops his timing. Very good student, verbal commitment to San Diego.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
