Pierce Covin is a 2021 OF/1B with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Briarwood Christian. Lengthy slender build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop, posted a 7.05 second 60 yard dash time. Primary outfielder, fields off his front foot, shows some aggressiveness on his reads. Carries his momentum to and through the baseball. On line throws to all bags with good carry. Moves well into the gap as well as down the line. At the plate, uses an upright and slightly open stance with some looseness to his hands. Quick load, hands work directly to the baseball. Pop will develop nicely alongside his build. Great student in the classroom as well.
