Kade Grundy is a 2021 RHP/SS, OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Somerset, KY who attends Somerset. Athletic build with some present strength and some physical projection remaining. Compact arm action in back with a high release point out front, good extension on release, tall on his backside over the rubber and uses his lower half well driving down the mound. Steady low 90's fastball, topped out at 93 mph, mostly straight. Curveball has a chance to be a plus pitch, has power and 12/6 downer sharpness, developing change up with some fade. Repeats his delivery well and projects as a strike throwing starter. Good athlete who is a 6.92 runner. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisville.
