Ryan Kirkendall is a 2021 SS/RHP/UT with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Hamilton, OH who attends Stephen T. Badin. Recorded a 7.03 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with present athleticism and room to fill out. Primary shortstop with fluid, smooth actions and fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Uses lower half well to range laterally, funneling out in front cleanly and delivering accurate throws from multiple arm angles across the diamond. Recorded throws up to 83 mph in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a deliberate delivery, high hand position and leg kick. Varied arm angles, working mostly from a high three-quarters slot and creating heavy, downhill plane with good extension out in front. Fastball sat in the upper-70s, topping out at 81 mph with life through the zone, flashing a slower curveball with 11-to-5 shape that will improve with spin refinement. Showed ability to hold velocity from the stretch, commanding both sides of the plate well and occasionally dropping down to right-handed hitter for deception. Right-handed hitter with a short line drive stroke, consistent barrel accuracy and some potential power. Shows ability to carry the gaps with whole field approach and strength in his hands. Excellent Student. Named to the 2020 Perfect Game Academic Top Prospect List.
