Leo Lopez is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Greer, SC who attends Riverside. More compact lean frame with room to add muscle onto the levers. Primary shortstop, athletic actions with a quick release, smooth actions up the middle and to the hole with a good feel for covering round laterally, some snatch to the hands with a quick and loose arm across that produced accurate throws, has an idea here. Switch-hitter, slightly wider base with a high hand and back elbow set, heel lift trigger, tries to create some separation in the swing, some pull side impact, got a bit tied up at times, developing feel to create extension, some more bat speed and handsy approach from the left side, better ability to spray it from the left, solid swing. Will benefit from strength greatly as that will really catapult the entire profile to a different level. Great student.
