Ruven Pino is a 2021 SS/RHP, 3B, MIF, OF with a 5-9 142 lb. frame from Fairview, NJ who attends Bergen Catholic. Medium frame with slender, young build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.68 seconds. Sets up to hit from even-based stance with relaxed posture, smoothness to barrel throughout swing, shifts well into contact and gets barrel out, consistent line drives up the middle with consistent barrel skills overall. Primary infielder, controls body well and moves side-to-side with solid range, hands work well out front, quick release up to 73 mph. Also took outfield reps, moves to ball well, fields cleanly, uphill throws clocked up to 72 mph. Also pitched; quick and compact delivery with compact arm stroke to three quarters slot, fastball worked 70-71 mph with cut; also mixed in curveball with 11/5 shape and solid depth.
